37 weeks can I request induction due to reduced movements

I’m currently 37 weeks, I went into MAC last night with reduced movements I genuinely feel like they failed me. After been there from 7pm till midnight ( baby’s heart rate was also extremely high) they had me waiting to speak to a doctor for over 2 hours to then say to me at midnight.
‘Go home and come in tomorrow at 3pm for monitoring for the reduced movements’

Does anybody know if I can request to be induced when I go in today? This is the 3rd time I have been in now due to my reduced movements, 2nd time I have been in for baby’s heart rate being high.

My anxiety genuinely cannot take this anymore, I’m so close to the end of pregnancy and with the reduced movements and baby’s heart rate being extremely high and no communication from doctors etc, I really just want her out.

That’s so frustrating, I would definitely ask the question. Maybe try and speak to a consultant midwife or someone a bit higher up to express your concerns.
It’s so hard to advocate for yourself when doctors and midwives are constantly downplaying!
I hope they listen to you xx

You can request it worst they can do is say no, they won’t induce until 39 weeks tho in most cases but you could be an exception with you having reduced movements and babies heart rate being high x

It’s normal for movements to be more subtle towards the end as there’s less space for baby to move around in there x

I think they will keep monitoring you, may suggest induction if your movements are reduced/ babies heart rate is high? I would see what they say when you go in 👍but you can always ask

Just bear in mind that induction can take days and days, they’re unlikely to start straight with the drip unless there is serious concern for baby. They’ll try several other things first over a period of a week to 10 days, which are unlikely to work if your body isn’t ready yet x

I understand this. But when you don’t feel a single thing, not even a nudge or anything subtle then it’s very concerning x

Thankyou, hope you get sorted too x

yes that’s so true Thankyou x

this is not true. Movements should follow a pattern all the way through and any change should be checked even close to the end.
