Portable pumps

Mamas who have them- what are your thoughts on the Willow or Elvie or others??

I had elvie and was not successful but I wasn’t successful overall with pumping or breastfeeding. I will say with the elvie that the battery has to be recharged after every use so if you are planning on pumping while at work just be aware of that.

I love the Elvie - but also feel like it is too expensive (I was fortunate and only paid $200 through insurance). It also leaks if you lean too far forward, especially if you pump a lot. I also would never use it as a primary pump because it doesn't always empty as well. I have a Medela that's portable that I tend to use more, and then I use the Elvie for on the go. For on the go, it's a lifesaver. I'm able to pump in public places and even right next to people and they don't know. I do like having a more traditional pump as well as a wearable pump - I like each pump for different reasons. My baby has a cleft palate, so I exclusively pump.

I feel like wearable pumps have become more popular in general, so the prices should be lower than $550 that Elvie sells for. I've actually heard good things about Willow Go and that one is also more affordable. I don't have any personal experience with it, though.

I have the momcozy V1 and I love it. Works almost as well as my spectra.

I have Elvie. Leaks if you move around too much. Defiantly can’t bend down while pumping. Haven’t tried others. Good luck!

I was looking to get that one but the reviews scared me into getting the M5

I have momcozy as well I think it's the M5 but they are all really well reviewed and I love it! Way more affordable than the elvie it's like a quarter of the price and it doesn't leak that I have found and is discreet and efficient and I am so glad I got it. Originally through insurance I had a Medela one which I had liked but was not portable or hands free so wouldn't be able to use for work.

I read a review article on wearable pumps and it said the fetal plus 3.0 wearable pump is better then the elvie and $150 which is more affordable.

Also ik you can buy pumps 2nd hand.

I haven't gotten a portable one but I plan to probably get the fetal plus one once I go back to work.

I have the Elvie Stride. Over a good way to pump on the go though suction is not as good as the stationary pump. Got to be careful not to move too much cause i had milk leak in the tubes twice. 🥴

I had the momcozy pro 12 and it worked for two weeks and then lost power, it would be fully charged and sound like it was dying. I'm glad I'd ordered through Amazon, cus at first I emailed mom Cozy just wanting them to replace the first one that didn't work and they wanted me to make a video of it on my hand showing it didn't work and my hand wasn't big enough to create a seal and then the second one stopped working a week later so I said forget it and just returned it through Amazon

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?
