Y’all honestly I’m about to cry, cus I’m about to be free. I’m leaving my bf because I refuse to be a second choice to drugs, he’s not mean or abusive just has an addiction and I can’t take it anymore, it’s affecting me in ways I didn’t know was possible and I hate who I am now. I’m paranoid now, I always am wondering is today the im gonna find him face down on the ground and I can’t bring him back, or if today is the day I have to make that phone call to his momma. I love this man but I just can’t do it me and my children deserve so much better than this. And yes I’ve done everything possible in my powers I’ve literally fell to my knees vice grip on this man’s chest begging please can we do therapy and begging him to go to NA or rehab. Literally begging him don’t you dare make me the person who has to tell your poor momma her sons dead. I can’t live like this anymore, I’m leaving I’ll be the bad guy I’ll be whatever he wants to tell everyone am if that means I can just walk away cus I’m done I’m not gonna be an enabler and Im too young to be dealing with this, I just want words of encouragement ladies I’ve exhausted myself with this man and I just can’t do it anymore! 😭😭😭😭I got a job and I’m saving money yes I was stay at home but now I’m working on leaving cus he needs help and I can’t be the one to do it…..

Sometimes addicts need to hit rock bottom or been shown tough love to do what it takes. I’m sorry you’re going through this and hope one day something changes ♥️

My dad was an addict. He wasn’t my bio dad… but he was my dad. The one that encouraged my art, the one that did my first tattoo, the only one of my moms many boyfriend that I actually called dad and meant it. She ended up leaving him when I was in the third or fourth grade because of his addiction. As a kid I didn’t understand I just knew mom and dad weren’t going to be together anymore. I’m glad she made that choice. As we grew up he was still in our lives but his addition got worse and worse. To the point we had to get him off of the streets so he wouldn’t be homeless. This past match addiction took his life. I thank my mom every day she left him so I didn’t grow up watching a dad nod off at the kitchen table asking mommy what’s wrong with daddy. I’m thankful I didn’t have ambulances coming to the house to revive the man I saw as my dad. I’m glad my mom protected me from watching my dad pick drugs over a daddy daughter dance. You’re doing the right thing. Addicts do recover too💕
