Was anyone else not able to see a heartbeat yet at 6 weeks (but everything turned out fine?

I didn’t get a heartbeat at six weeks not until 10 weeks or they actually able to see a heartbeat

I had the same thing happen to me. First ultrasound there was no heartbeat & Dr advised either I am earlier than they thought or it was a blighted ovum. It was a rough 2 weeks waiting for the follow up ultrasound. They did end up finding the heartbeat in the next ultrasound & baby boy is due anyday now 🙂

Yeah, I didn’t hear a heartbeat at 6 weeks. The next time I went in (at 8 weeks I think) I heard it for the first
time.

I think this is why my ob doesn’t scan until atleast 8 weeks. Because It can Definitely happen and it’s a lot of worry and scare when it can be totally fine! I knew I was pregnant at not quite 4 weeks but I just had blood and urine done at my gp and ob had me wait until they could detect and tell more! Good luck mama! Prayers for peace.

6 weeks is a little early so just give it a lil time!

At my 6 week ultra sound they couldn’t see or hear a heartbeat but at 8 weeks they could see it and I heard it at 12 weeks
It might just be a little early which can be completely normal 💕

It’s normal because you never know how many weeks you actually are or when you actually conceived so it could come a week or two later

This happened to me at 5 weeks with a not so great OB at 12 weeks I switched my dr and got a whole scan and babys heartbeat he’s now 1 yr and counting :)

Heartbeat is usually seen earliest at 6w4d (what my fertility clinic told me). Places don’t usually offer scans before this for this exact reason

huh? Some people (like me) know exactly when they conceived. People only don’t know how far along they are if they have irregular or long cycles.

I had some bleeding at 6 weeks and had a scan with no heartbeat, went back at 8 weeks and there was a heartbeat there 🩷 now 25 weeks pregnant xxx

I knew too, (at least when the process began) but some people don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️

As the sonographer said, 6 weeks is still very early. I didn't get an ultrasound until 12 weeks and that's when we saw the heartbeat. (Now 27 weeks)

Wow my dr didn’t even scan at six weeks. They confirmed with a 2-step hcg blood test and told me to come back at 8 weeks

I could see heart beat at 6 weeks plus few days but with hearing it we had to wait till more than 10 weeks, doctor said it is not safe to listen do heart so early on. It didnt even look like a heart a tjis stage just a pulsing line. I am sure much depends on quality of machine

I had an early scan thinking I was about 7w but could see anything or hear heartbeat so they said I’m more than likely earlier than I thought. Which was right I was only about 5w3d at the time. But everything was fine at the next scan 🥰

Saw early pregnancy unit and saw babies heartbeat at 5 n half weeks.

Normally they can usually see it between 5 to 8 weeks if u have a decent sonographer......but it might be the fact your not as far as what you or they think

I'm almost 18wks and still not heard it, but I've seen it alot

Try not to worry: maybe your dates were a bit off im sure you’ll see that heart beating away at the next scan ❤️

That’s really early. The fetus is just beginning to develop at this stage.

My doctor won’t do an ultrasound until 8+ weeks for this exact reason! When I was first pregnant I found it really annoying because I wanted to see my baby and confirm BUT looking back I’m now glad they did do it beforehand. This is normal mama, I wouldn’t worry yet. Sending love and prayers !

I wouldn’t panic. I’ve seen a heartbeat at 5w6d but I know it can be normal not to see one yet!! Waiting is the worst part

Yes me, ended up seeing the fetal pole and hearing heartbeat at 7+ weeks otherwise at 6 weeks the sac was showing empty!

Update:
I had my follow up ultrasound today.
They said that it doesn’t look like my baby is growing and that the gestational sac is “irregular in contour”.
They could not see a heartbeat and they said that I have subchorionic hemorrhaging occupying greater than 1/3 of the gestational sac circumference.
They are going to check my HCG levels tomorrow and Thursday, and I have another ultrasound scheduled in 1 week.

It doesn’t sound very hopeful.
