I have a soon to be 5 month old son and his sleeping has been poor during the night, as well as refusing naps. He’s refusing to sleep. Last night it had taken me 65 minutes before he went to sleep. I’ve noticed that he’ll kick and bash his arms around when I’m attempting to settle him. Is that a common behaviour?
Then once he’s down he’ll wake straight up. He’ll wake himself up with rolling or kicking, or fighting the sleep. He’s been waking 3-4 times during the night, whereas he used to sleep through. He’s napping no more than 1 hour and 30 minutes during the daytime as again is refusing. I’ve also noticed he’s not been feeding as well. He was having 6 ounces at 2-3 hours during the daytime, but now he has no interest in finishing the bottle.
Is this classed as regression or has anyone experienced similar? Feeling concerned.. and so tired 😴

My lo was the exact same, we ended up trying a sleeping bag and it worked so well she would still roll over but stay asleep instead of waking herself up I know every baby is different but it might be something to consider if you really need to

So he's very clearly showing signs of the 4 month sleep regression and the leg banging is a sign new skills are coming and being learnt

I'd recommend reading the wonder weeks website and getting to understand all the information on regressions and when they hit so you can be prepared. It was a breeze going through it when I read and understood what was going on
