The last few days my little boy has been a nightmare with naps!
If he gets to two hours, he is so tired. His wake windows previously have been 90mins.
He only contact naps, or has 30mins in car.
Sleeps fine at night and goes down drowsy most nights.
He has been skipping last nap of day, despite being so tired, which has meant that he is grouchy and unsettled at bed time.
The last two days, he has been awake from 3pm-7pm which is unheard of!
He will be four months on 15th.
He feeds every 2-3hours, around 5oz.
Any advice would be so welcome! I feel like I’m battling him to nap. He just wants to look around, but he is so tired. Thank you :)

Hello!
There is so much development at 4 months of age and it’s common for things to settle at the three month mark and go a awol at 4 months.
- their sleep cycles are developing biologically.
- they tend to wake up more and get a bit of fomo.
- common for rolling to start and the hand to mouth action.
If you think you are in the middle of all these things my current suggestion is just get sleep in the best way as you can. So if contact napping is the best way then stick with this. Once you feel you are through things then work on naps a bit more if that’s what you want to do!
Always happy to advise on how to start working on cot naps. I’ve also got a post on my insta.
