I am having a lot of confusing feelings about this. I completely recognize my privilege to even attempt this conversation; after my baby was born I had all intentions to head back into the job market (I was a consultant). But with the job prospects abysmal and the baby needing more (activities, food, time) - I find staying home isn’t as frustrating as I thought it would be. And I know this time with baby will go super fast and I want to see everything she does but I also want something for myself (I got hobbies 👍)
Does anyone feel me on this?

I was talking to my mom the other day about how I missed getting a paycheck but how I would miss being there for all her moments more and she said that being home with us was the biggest privilege she was ever given as it's always possible to find a job later but it's never possible to get those moments back.

I feel this. I love being able to see every sec of my baby's day without missing literally anything. However, I miss getting paychecks, career is ruined. I desperately want to get a job.

I feel this so much, I have a part time job that I can do from home now. The pay is trash, but I feel like I have a little something and I can spend all my time with my little, which is well worth the payout in my eyes
