What do you think of the name Bam?

I love it and it's not very common apart from Bam-Bam from the Flintstones and Bam Margera from Jackass...that being said, I believe Bam Margera has had some real problems with drug addiction and not in a good place. If that doesn't bother you then all good!

That’s actually where we got the name from, Bam Margera from jackass but weirdly his real name isn’t even Bam… it’s Brandon! Guess Bam was just a nickname for him but we want it as his proper legal name 😂

Where I’m from it’s used as a slang word that isn’t very nice. I won’t put you off though

Because we are really naming adults, not babies. The accountant bit I added because it's the most boring sounding job on the planet 🤣

And for me personally, I'd find something you should shorten to Bam because like Jemma said, it doesn't have the nicest connotations and that's no fun for a teenager or adult!

Bam is cute, very unique. I see it as a nickname for Bambi or Abram for a boy.

I like the name Brigbam with the nickname Briggs or Bam

I'm from scotland and Bam is well known slang for an insult and would describe someone in not a very nice way 😬... that being said, if you're not in Scotland and don't plan on visiting then it's probably not an issue.

I’ve been thinking about names for our baby and the different stages they go through in life & whether it will suit them as they grow old with the name. As much as you both love the name, would your baby grow to love the name without feeling some type of way about it?

Obviously totally your choice but personally… I don’t think Bam can be carried throughout life but that’s just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

I like it but agree with that the stuff going on with Bam right now isn't the best. It might also be worth it being an abbreviation of a longer name incase your kid wants to be an accountant lol. Regardless I love it!

I’d assume they were Asian. I’ve come across some Bam’s, they’re filipino and vietnamese I think. It’s a good name, I’d just be surprised seeing it on a non Asian person

I love it! And If you do, go for it! Surely it shouldn't matter about Bam margera having certain issues. How many Jack's / Teds or Teddy / Fred or Freddies do you know? - all very famous serial killers but people still use the names. It's what it means to you 😁

Bram is cute. Bam reminds me of “hey Bam Bam where’s Pebbles?”
