Ultrasound

This seems generic. Pretty sure I got the same one for my appointment at seven oaks and hsc. Its standard for the tech to not give out that information. Fortunately they had it to give to my doctor and I was offered from him. I took it and waited to open the note till my partner was with me.

I got my 20 wk ultrasound at Grace Hospital in Jan 2021 and was able to take a photo of the screen. It was the height of covid so my husband wasn't permitted. I was also mailed a DVD a month later with a bunch of the photos sent to my doc.

I did my first ultrasound with them last year too. I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures but they gave me a print no question asked. My next doctor’s appointment also is not until October 10th. 🥺

it was the same at Health science and women’s hospital last year i wasn’t allowed to take pictures but at least both the sonographers showed me the screen while they did the ultrasound and the one who did my ultrasound from women’s was the one who told me what the gender was.

Try Manitoba Clinic! I got my ultrasound done there and they showed me and my boyfriend the screen the entire time. We weren’t allowed to take pictures but they had a thing where you can leave your email and address and they emailed me the result on the gender. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to tell me my baby’s gender because of her position the whole ultrasound but they did mail me copies of her scans in a cd FOR FREE!!

I had mine done here! They should let your partner in at the end of the scan if you bring them if they want to see baby, they just don’t want them watching and questioning during the whole procedure. And the disc of images was I think $20 and included literally all the images. I kind of like having it electronically. Obviously a lot of it I didn’t know what I was looking at but they’re labelled at the bottom. And I think they’ll throw in some full body ones if they know you’re requesting the discs so you have a nice photo.

But yes it’s standard for them not to be able to tell you any info about baby including gender, they write a report which your doctor has to read and interpret, so your doctor can let you know if you want.
