2 month old sleep/naps

Hi all. My baby has been sleeping his naps as contact naps or in his lounger. And it will be in daylight. Do I have to start letting baby nap in his bassinet in dark room during the day? And does baby need a white noise?

Ive heard that baby should sleep in daylight during day so they can determine the difference between night and day? But then ive researched that baby needs to nap in dark room om same sleeping space too?

I have no idea whats the right thing to do.

We were just going with flow amd following babies cues. Do I have to start setting a strict schedule routine now for him?

I would say do whatever is working for you! I personally let mine nap in a bright room without worrying about staying quiet. I have a strict nighttime routine but that’s about it.

I have my daughter nap in my room during the day, semi lit (just a little sunlight peeking through) and at night it’s dark w red light and white noise. She sleeps through the night like that. She takes some naps in her swing but they don’t last more than an hour

what does sleeping through the night look for her?

I think it also depends on where your kiddo is at. My first born took a bit to actually need a sleep routine, he's always been a once a day napper, that was once he started being more wakeful at around 6months. By 6months he was sleeping in his own bed in his own room ( 5ft walking distance from my bed to his, with a hallway being the only seperater basically) and napping in there too.

My little one now, she hasn't found her routine yet. I have her nap on me sometimes so I can get my cuddles in, sometimes she needs it too haha, but she actually sleeps on her tummy alot on the floor during the day, or she'll sleep in her swing right next to me when I work.
I lay her down when I lay down in her own crib now and she will wake around 4-6am to eat and go back to sleep till 8-10am for another feed and basically sleep all morning. She's only awake for brief moments at a time right now, sometimes only awake for about 10 min and longest maybe an hour and that hour wake window is typically right before her bedtime.

she goes down at 8 and wakes up around 6 to eat, I bring her in my room nurse her and put her in the bassinet or co sleep depending how I’m feeling (I have a kind bed and it’s only me lol) but she’ll fall asleep after that feed till about 9

My guy used to sleep at 10 and wake up at 5/6 for me… but now he changed

we do bath time every other day w the lavender and then I rub the lavender lotion on her face after bath, nurse her swaddle her and rock her in the dark w the hatch system I have it on red light and white noise . After rocking her I just lay her down in the crib and she’s out

But I can say every baby is diff . My first daughter could neverrrr 🫠 she was legit up every 3 hours

If it's working it's fine, just know that the more that is going on round them while they sleep their brain has to filter out so it's not as restful and may lead to fussy baby later. Kind of like if you sleep in the car on a long road trip it is not the same kind of rest as sleeping in your bed

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
