Newborn seizure???

So today my 3week old has been tensing/tightening up and arching his back (ends up on his side when it happens) and his head goes back, when he’s in his Moses basket he did it so much he nearly broke his neck with the position he ended up in so I had to pick him up straight away, im a first time mum and my anxiety is so bad rn.. any advice would be great 🥺

Probably quite unlikely to be a seizure, babies have no idea how to control their body and can get themselves in some odd positions! I would suggest trying to get it on video if it happens again to show the doctor ☺️ if you’re really worried in the meantime, then speak to the GP of health visitor for some reassurance. You know your baby best! ☺️

Sounds like it could be reflux. They get very uncomfortable with it and tens grunt and arch their back. My little one done this and everyone said it was gas or colic, but it was reflux.

This sounds exactly like the seizures my son started having at 10 days old. Video them when they happen so you have proof etc but next time one happens ring for an ambulance immediately xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Bedtime routine

I have a 12 week old and we struggle to get him to sleep in his next to me crib or Moses basket, so he sleeps in bed with us which means we’re struggling to have a bedtime routine as he won’t sleep till i go to bed with him.
Any suggestions please as he doesn’t sleep till around 11/12
