Me most night it's awful love. Tonic water helps a little xx

Yes! I had this in the early hours and could still feel it in my leg throughout the day.

It's the worst isn't it! I've not had it as much with this pregnancy but my previous one all the time! I'd wake my husband up screaming. I've learnt to not stretch my legs out during the night as that seems to be when the cramp strikes

Yea it’s so bad at this point. Keep well hydrated during the day and I’ve started stretching before bed and found it helps x

I’ve had 1 serious flare up and literally woke the street up screaming!
My husband had to massage my calf and help me get out of bed.
Since then I have learnt not to stretch my legs in bed and if I feel even the smallest twinge I immediately get up and start walking around and it goes away! X

Someone taught me that if you immediately stand up it goes away, and it really works! I was having them so badly they were taking a week to stop hurting. Give it a go!

They’re horrific!! I woke up with one yesterday morning literally screaming in pain and it’s still hurting now 😭

I was told by a Dr who was expecting herself to add extra salt to your meal, which has helped when I remember to add the extra. Hope this is helpful🙏

It’s really bad!!
I also used to have them as a kid too and my doc had suggested then to have banana before bed (sounds weird) but it worked then
Same has helped me now as well and suggested by my midwife - eating banana daily, keeping hydrated . Sometimes the cramps are due to deficiency of potassium

Extra dairy seems to work for me! Start your day with a bowl of yogurt and drink a pint of milk- apparently it can have to do with calcium deficiency

I get them too. I’ve heard Brazil nuts can help! 🤷🏼♀️

I’ve been getting this! I was told by someone not to lift your leg up to your body as it gets worse. Instead if you keep lying down and point your toe down like a ballerina style, then back up. Keep doing it and the cramping fades. I’ve been doing this and the cramping does disappear quicker then before :)

standing up straight away works for me!

Eat a packet of ready salted crisps before you go to bed.

Electrolytes really help!!
