Sex postpartum?

I waited until 5.5 weeks with no tears/no complications and was still super nervous doing that. before 6 weeks your cervix could still be open and by having sex you risk introducing bacteria and getting an infection inside of your uterus where your placenta was attached.

1 week pp, I had a vaginal birth with no tearing.

Usually your suppose to wait untill six weeks pp. That's when the wound from your placenta is healed suppose to be. I'd wait till six weeks pp or at least ask your doctor before trying

Your placenta causes a wound internally that takes 6 weeks to heal. Anything prior makes you more prone to an infection internally. It’s up to you at the end of the day but they advise that for a reason.

You’re supposed to wait 6 weeks actually. Not only can you tear further but it is big risk of internal infection before that time. I waited 7 weeks PP and don’t regret it, I had a vaginal birth and minor outer tear with stitches. It still hurt really bad the first few weeks once we started again.

Maybe is a good time to try new things, that doesn’t involve penetration. Edging can be a nice prep to makes things even more plesuarable for when the time comes.

Wait 6 weeks for your body to heal. Waiting a few more weeks should be nothing. If something bad happens, you’re the one who has to deal with the pain

They tell you wait for a reason. The placenta leaves a wound the size of a 10" dinner plate in the inside of your body. If the wound was external, we wouldn't doubt it, but your body needs time to heal. Sex at any point before then literally risks infection. I personally waited 1 week after I was done bleeding which for me was 8 weeks, so technically we waited until 9 weeks postpartum.
