Losing the will.
Anyone got any tips for the 4 months sleep regression, she’s 22 weeks and I’m seriously considering putting her in her own room. Put her down at 8:30 and we’ve been up 3/4 times already I’ve lost count 😞
Even when she’s asleep she lifts her legs up and bashes them down and she’s so noisy 🙃🙃🙃
She’s been getting up every 1 to 2 hours for 8 weeks now but the last two nights she’s been wide awake all night.
I thought it was supposed to only last 6 weeks. Send help 🫶🏼

How is she sleeping through a day? Maybe her days naps need to be shorten. What time is her last or first nap?
Also what makes her to go back to sleep ? Are you sure she is not waking up out of being in discomfort, being hot /cold, hungry or having a wet nappy, teething?

she cat naps mostly in the day, this is why I can’t understand why she’s not tired at night.
I’m EBF so I feed her to send her off to sleep again.
I check her gums everyday there’s no sign so far.
I have a grow egg and I follow what sleep bag and what to dress her in, her temp feels perfect.

We are in the same position I don’t know whether it’s still the regression, now a habit or her teeth 😭 every night I think this can’t get worse and since 830 she’s been up 4 times normally can feed back to sleep but now she doesn’t even settle with that

literally the same as me, she’s not 6 months yet so don’t want to put her in her own room but I’m really at a loss now, thinking I might move her next to me to the bottom of the bed instead so I don’t hear & feel every movement. I can’t keep doing this xx

No help unfortunately just empathy as my little boy is the same, he's been awake every 1-2 hours and wants feeding every time (bf) he is hit and miss with the dummy be recently will only settle with a feed. I'm exhausted 😂😴 xx

I moved my LO with the same leg bashing habit and she's OK. We all sleep better. The thing to consider is that you'll have to move between rooms at night to feed baby, but for me not hearing every movement and not being up all the time was worth it.

oh Sarah it’s awful isn’t it!! It makes my tits itch when people say “my baby has slept through since 8 weeks old” I don’t care mine isn’t! 🤣 xxx

Mines slowly on the other end, but she gets wiggly/noisy in the morning, especially as my sleep is much lighter then, it's been terrible. I ended up cosleeping for the last stretch (from 4-5 and she sleeps till 7-8) and I get some rest too. As she's EBF I just leave a boob out and she finds it if she wants it, doesn't wake me up anymore.

I think I’m going to try and put her at the bottom of our bed up against the wall instead so she’s not right in my ear and see how we get on xxx

I’m the exact same as you, literally same time scale! Last night, he woke up 17 times!!!

I’ve been told the same from the older generation basically that we came out the womb sleeping 12 hours but I think they left us to cry it out as developmentally a lot goes on from 3-5 months like you I have tried everything I’m thinking of co sleeping tonight just to see if that would settle her as I now don’t know if the wakes and feeds are habit but I’m so nervous so my partner said he’ll stay up if I want to put her in the bed he’ll watch her for a few hours as she’s so unsettled the beginning of the night I do think she has teething pain now I may try ibuprofen tonight too as I tried everything yesterday

My lo is talking away to her mobile on the next to me and I’m so emotional like why do I find this so hard (probs doesn’t help that I’m on my period) 🤣

Hey!
I’m Mel a holistic sleep consultant and mum of two. It’s really hard with sleep at this age and trust me ALOT of babies do not sleep well. This was me and my daughter.
There are tips for general advice but also important to say what you are going through is normal even though I know it’s not easy. It’s really tough!!
Their sleep is biologically changing and they are transitioning more between light and deep sleep.

The transition isn’t one that’s always smooth and they can get stuck. It’s a bit like going from first to third gear in a car.
Some tips but also I know they don’t work with everyone!
- bedtime routine about 20 mins in length
- try and keep awake periods shorter if you get better naps contact napping/ sling or pram do that!
- some people find co sleeping helps
- have a great room environment
- if you can get help anywhere take it!
I really hope it passes soon

I’m in the same boat! My girl was sleeping through now she’s up in the night and also very loud, bashing legs… babbling etc waking more for feeds or just waking more! What I notice though is if she sleeps more in the day she sleeps better at night time so I reaaalllly try and get her napping as much and long as possible which is hard I know as mine also cat naps but I do anything to get her to stay asleep for longer sometimes I just go window shopping/for a walk as she will sleep in the car/pram the longest 🤦🏻♀️

thank you! xx

for the first time ever she has really fought her nap, it got to the point she was uncontrollably crying and has finally fell asleep, honestly I’m exhausted xxx

Oh I know what it is about lifting legs and slamming them down 🤷♀️. So noisy! We have it for around 2 hours a night at the minute. She also is moving around ending up in so many different sleeping positions often with her legs above the side 🙈

honestly little tikes 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve literally just moved it, feel a bit sad that she’s not next to me, hopefully just a temporary thing while she sorts her sleep out xxx

I totally understand I went to something this week and just thought wow all these mums are smashing it whereas I looked like I’d just got out of bed 🙈
