Feeling like period cramps

My period cramps at 39+5 after a membrane sweep turned into contractions. I couldn’t tell the difference so started recording them and I started to see a pattern. Went to L&D when they were about 5 mins apart for 1 minute to confirm they were contractions I was feeling. If I didn’t have elevated blood pressure they would have sent me home to labor at home until the pain got worse. Sounds like you’re doing everything right, keep timing them. I’m 39+3 as well & have been having the same thing all day for the past 2 days which I also think is from doing lots of cleaning and laundry. Not exactly sure if it’s labor but could be! Has your baby been active? Every time I get done cleaning and finally lay down I feel like she doesn’t move as much as she normally does 😩

same I’m not sure if it’s the real thing but I haven’t felt anything as intense as this. And yeah my baby girl hasn’t been moving as much as she was in the previous weeks, but im assuming it’s because she has a lot less room? When I got checked last week her heartbeat was sounding great my midwife didn’t say anything so im assuming everything is normal

I’m GBS positive so I don’t think I can get a membrane sweep or else I would! I’m 1cm dilated for the past 2 weeks so hopefully this is the real thing. But my cramps are lasting for about 3-5 minutes long idk what that means :/

If/when they get closer you’ll know- they’ll get more intense. but my period like cramps were true contractions. You just may not be in “active” labor - probably just early which apparently can be a few days or sometimes just hours.

Any updates? Just found your comment because I’m having the same feelings. Very much like mild period cramps but they last a couple minutes and then fade away.
