Period-like cramps at 33 weeks

I've been having random spurts of what feels like period cramps everyday since Sunday. It's not consistent and not Braxton Hicks where you feel your whole belly tighten. It's really really low and crampy. Not painful, but not comfortable. Anyone else feeling like this?

I'm 33 weeks and have an OB appt tomorrow, but stressing baby may come early. I was induced for hypertension with my first and have never gone into labor on my own. Tips, tricks, things to look out for?

I’m 34 weeks and have started getting period pains for the first time all pregnancy! Last night was particularly bad. I had my midwife appointment today though & she said it’s normal & is just baby getting lower & body prepping !

So I was induced with my first and my sister wasn't. She said her ob told her this feeling can be when you begin dilating since you do dilate during your period the feeling can be similar!

They may still be braxton hicks. My braxton hicks are not belly tightening but more period cramp feeling. Braxton hicks vary from person to person on how they feel. I'm 31 weeks today and have been having that feeling since 28-29 weeks. It's just another joy of pregnancy 🙃 I found it worsens with to much activity during the day. As long as you aren't having any fluid leaking, bloodly mucus discharge, spotting or consist full contractions, it's just the body preparing!

My midwife checked me and after two weeks of those feelings, I wasn't dilated at all and my cervix was completely closed.

they mentioned for me also, I have a son that will be 23 months old in a little over a week. So for me it could be from my uterus growing, shrinking and then growing again within a couple years, it is a lot for the uterus. Looks like original poster has a toddler also so it could be contributing to the cramps also. Body needs a minimum of two years before the uterus could be atleast close to being back to normal before pregnancy.

if I drank to full amount of water they want you to drink daily while pregnant, I don't think I'd ever leave the bathroom😂 I pee so often as it is with only half the amount they recommend 😅

Why has my cramps been going on for almost 2 hours:(

some of the lovely parts of pregnancy they don't talk about much lol baby grows alot in the 3rd trimester, roughly half a pound a week. That's alot for a uterus that was so small to begin with lol

lose of mucus plug is not an indication of labor being near. I've been losing parts of mine since 18 weeks. It regenerates. If you loose a big piece and it has blood in it with contractions, that is when you should contact doctor or be seen. Mucus plug can break off slightly because of sex also.
Cramping in pregnancy is normal even if it lasts for hours. It can come from ligament pain, uterine pain, baby could be sitting funny. My midwife said unless you are leaking fluids, having bleeding, have bloody mucus discharge or contractions that you are able to time and are following a pattern and don't get better with drinking water and resting, it's just another normal thing in pregnancy.
