My baby was 2 months premature, born on 19th May (due date 19th July). Since coming home from the hospital (7th June), every 3 or 4 days she would vomit once quite significantly. I’m a first time mum and thought that’s just something that babies do. The last week or so she’s now projectile vomiting at least once a day, sometimes twice, as well as now pooping up to 6 times a day, with it sometimes really runny/watery (it used to be once a day). She is absolutely fine in herself otherwise. Does anyone else have sicky babies? This doesn’t feel like it’s normal?

I have a sicky babe, tummy time massively reduced it for us. I wonder if your babe has a tummy bug with the watery poo.. how do you feed? Gaining weight as expected?

oo that’s very interesting. She does love tummy time, I’ve just been afraid of it all coming back up, might give it a go, thank you! She’s formula fed and gaining weight week on week. One GP prescribed gaviscon, another told me to give her water…so I’m struggling to identify what’s the issue and what to do!!

Have you looked into cow milk allergy? Weirdly, you can also tell much by the smell of her poop. As normal poop for a baby apparently should smell quite sweat (don't ask as I wouldn't know what they mean by it - my girls smells like sour milk and I'm adamant something is not right but I'm not being listened to)

there is something going round my LO is 4 months and last Saturday i was in Alder Hay childrens hospital as she vommited 3 times , and has vomitted on and off this week and her stools smelt absolutely awful! when i got the hospital there was a lot of other babies in A+E all with the same symptoms , the charge nurse did inform me that the past 2 weeks they have seen a massive increase in babies with V&D she advised small feeds often and just any signs of anything abnormal i.e any rashes , not keeping any feeds down at all Mucus stools to take her back in , hope this settles for you its so frightening, she also said it could be due to the excess of sylivia as my LO is constantly drooling, eating her hands and chomping on anything she can get hold off xx
