Hello, at my OB appointment today we discussed different birth styles and they suggested I might want to move over to the midwives in my medical system as it sounded more like what I might want as there are more natural birthing options available to me.
Just wondering how the process went for you and if you enjoyed the switch. My care team has been great so far with the OB so that's not really a factor there.

I started with an OB and transitioned to a private midwife. Night and day really, the midwife spends waaaay more time with me, asks me way more questions, I feel more respected and supported, and she helps me to feel confident and empowered in my ability to birth. Midwives also consistently facilitate better birth outcomes with fewer interventions and better maternal satisfactions for low risk pregnancies than OBs do in research.

I’m a FTM and have been seeing a midwife. I love them. My mom came with me to an appointment and told me she was awesome and very personable. I feel comfortable asking my questions and not just like a doctor goes in and out to the next patient.
