Hey mama’s,
I’m pregnant with my second little one.
They have done a test and said I’m 1 in 49 chance of getting preeclampsia again.
I know preeclampsia can mean having a preemie, what’s everyone’s advice with doing a hospital bag?
How soon should I think about putting one together?

thanks girlie! I have bad preeclampsia with my first little one so I am already on 150mg of aspirin per day. I was induced at 37 weeks with my LG I was in hospital for a while before they induced me.
Need to try and avoid that this time as I don’t want to be away from my LG!! I will start sorting my hosp bag from about 25 weeks I think!

PreE with first.. 35 weeks pregnant with second & with no signs yet 🤞
Went to the consultant last week and he said the chance of it happening again (with the same baby daddy) is about 2% - would be higher if it’s a different daddy as your body wouldn’t be used to his ‘foreign body’ in you (the placenta)
So basically, it’s the men’s fault - as always 😅

I had pre-e with my first and delivered at 33 weeks. I wasn't prepared and had nothing as it was an emergency. If I could look back I wish I lacked a bag earlier.
With my second I was in baby aspirin out the gate and monitored super closely. I eneded up having high blood pressure but it was stable with medications. I deliver vua scheduled section at 38 weeks.
I ended up getting post partum pre eclampsia which I wasn't prepared for AT ALL!

I just had my little girl on the 1st at 37+6 due too sever preeclampsia and all I can say is I wish I was more mentally prepared! I had 0 signs my whole pregnancy, felt a little off at the weekend and took myself too a&e on the Sunday and within 6 hours I had too have an emergency section, my blood pressure 4days later is still soaring at 150 with medication too keep it stable! Honestly pack your bag and make sure you have everything you need too be comfortable! I had everything ready for little lady in my hospital bag but absolutely nothing for myself and I wish I had made more of an effort too ensure I had all I needed too be comfortable! Post partum preeclampsia is also very hard too deal with emotionally so I’d say try and mentally prepare yourself that you may be poorly for a while after you have little one if things don’t go too plan!
