Right there with you! I had an emergency C-section Monday night and last night was our first night home. I slept in the recliner because I can’t lay flat or on my side in bed. Way too painful to get into either of those positions and if I’m flat, my chest feels heavy!!
I slept on the recliner last night. I find it the most comfortable since I’m laying at an incline. It’s just really hard to get out of the recliner.

We bought a wedge so I can sleep at an incline then I use a travel neck pillow to keep my head/neck comfortable & can turn it slightly. It’s been 2 weeks for me & still haven’t slept normal yet. I napped on my back the other day to try it & was fine but then needed help up as I still don’t have much abdomen strength plus the pain.

2 weeks and still like this? 😵💫 I was hoping it was just a few more days. I had a planned C-section with my twins 7 yrs ago and have no memory of even sleeping 😅 pretty sure that’s because I didn’t sleep lol
And yes! Getting out of whatever position is the hardest part. I have to take it very slowly.

I'm not looking forward to this 😕 my baby was just born this morning via emergency c section, ugh! I'm having trouble at the hospital lol

I use a wedge pillow and a neck pillow as well. Day 9 for me and this is the best way I’ve found to get some rest so far.

yahhh I didn’t know what to expect but taking it day by day. Don’t want to rush it & move too much then mess up the inside incision or sutures. Though every woman heals at different speeds. Yah sleep is definitely a luxury when we can get some 🤪

you got this! Can’t lie, it definitely sucks the first week but just keep telling yourself that this is only temporary & it does get better. Little by little, day by day! ❤️🩹
