The measurements of baby are never accurate. I was to get induced at 38/39, but she came herself at 36 weeks, weighing 8lb 5oz. I had polyhydramnios, so bigger baby was expected. Glad I went early though 😊

My son was measuring big, I was induced at 38 weeks, they were expecting me to have a 11lb baby, he was 8lb 6oz, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, I don't think it's that accurate.

My son was measuring 'tall but skinny' they said. What a lie. He was born 10lbs. I think you need to trust your gut rather than what they say. I always knew he was going to be big because I could feel it in my back, not by the scans 🤣 I refused induction and had a planned c section because I knew and I'm glad I did! My vagina would have never recovered 🤣

I’ve been induced twice due to a big baby. One of them with the extra fluid too.
I got induced at 38 weeks with the extra fluid baby (they wanted to do it at 37 weeks but couldn’t find a slot) he came out at 8lbs 8oz
The second I got induced at 39 weeks exactly weighing 9lbs 7.5oz.
However with the second baby I was getting sweeps from 38weeks to try and bring labour on naturally as there were no slots for induction at that time.
The scan measurements were pretty much accurate for us.surprisingly newborn clothes fitted them both for weeks

My baby measured big at 38 weeks (think was around the 7/8lbs mark)
refused induction and had home birth.
LG was born at 41+2 at 9lbs 2oz xx

I was told my son would be 9-11lb, and he came out at 38w and was 7lb3!! I had no clothes for a baby that small!!

My son was measuring big they predicted him to be 10lb I was induced at 39 weeks and he was 8lbs xx

They told me my baby was going to be over 10lbs but I refused the induction… He was then born a few days after his due date and weighed 9lbs, so glad I didn’t have the induction as I felt like my labour (although tough) wasn’t as intense x
