How far along are u? I think alot of it is down to genetics how many u get or dont get,i think all this bio oil & moisturising does nothing at all its just a way for these companies to make money out of pregnant women.probably will stop ur skin itching tho & feelings so tight.

32+2 weeks! They only vvv faint so I shouldn’t complain really and yeah I thought the oil and moisturising is just a con for money xxx

i didnt notice many with my son it was only once i gave birth & started deflating they showed up but i got lucky i hardly had any & i had a 10 pound baby.i'm 31 weeks i think they do start appearing from now as thats when the skin starts to really be under pressure stretching..the joys aye! X

Mine faded pretty quickly, I don’t notice them now. I didn’t get any all pregnancy until he dropped the day before I went into labour so I was a bit gutted 😂 haven’t had any this time yet even though I’m much bigger, waiting for them to appear.

I’ve been using the the chocoa butter stretch mark oil since I was 3 weeks and I’ve got hardly any stretch marks!

From what I've read, there's no way to stop yourself getting stretch marks or any way to get rid of them. Oils and creams don't do anything except being good for self care and may help stop the discomfort if they're irritating. It just depends on genetics as to whether you get them or not and they will fade in time.

It wouldn’t hurt to keep the popular zones (breasts, bump, hips, bums) for stretch marks well moisturised but ultimately and unfortunately your genetics will be the deciding factor as to whether you have them. Some people get them and other don’t. For those who get them, sometimes they fade, for others they serve as a reminder of the sacrifice of growing babies.
I recommend researching natural body butters or body balms.
I am not genetically predisposed to them but I am also knee deep in La Roche Posay Liptikar Baumé.

thank you!! I’ll give it a research! Just a shock when I found them lol xxx

Yeah, the creams and oils etc don't work unfortunately. There is no sure fire way to stop them. However, the creams and things will help just to soften your skin which should feel nice anyway. If people haven't had them after using creams, it's just a fluke I think!

There isn't a lotion or cream in the world that will get rid of them. They will fade but you are going to have to learn to love them.

bio oil won’t stop you getting them, but it really does work with fading them and making them pretty much unnoticeable. i’ve used it before when my boobs first started growing i got so many dark purple stretch marks, i used the oil and they faded perfectly and just blend into my skin. time also helps with the fading process but i’ve found bio oil accelerates this. moisturising creams don’t necessarily stop them either, but i like to keep my bump moisturised as it does help the skin a little.
id recommend researching derma rollers for ‘getting rid of them’. i have one and i’ve seen some results so far, but the full results can usually be seen in a few months since it’s a process. do a lot of research though and find which one would be best for you, since they’re more of a ‘serious’ treatment you have to be very careful with them x
