Please share with me some photos and ideas for meals. We are only just really starting this with my 9 month old. We’ve done simple veg and fruit but looking to move onto more.
Please don’t share really time consuming things to make! Anything simple that also doesn’t cost an arm and leg 🤍🤍

Banana pancakes, literally banana & egg!
Fishcakes - white fish, potatoes, spring onion, peas (any veg really) and a bit of parsley. Dipped in egg then breadcrumbs. Are a bit fiddly but I made absolutely loads to freeze
Pinwheels - puff pastry, put anything you like in there (we do tomato purée and spinach).
Omelette nice and easy too
☺️

thank you lovely!!!!! I’ve seen the banana pancakes and I definitely want to try them. Currently EVERYTHING gets thrown onto the floor or he tries to feed his food to our dogs so I just want simple things 😂🤍🤍

Banana pancakes, eggy bread (savoury), french toast (same recipe as banana pancakes but bread dipped in), hummus and crudités, omlette, vegetable fritters (any veg grated), tuna mayo & potato (inside if a jacket potato)

My LG loves to feed the dogs... very normal, it's not a reflection on the food

Babies have high iron needs so don’t be shy about giving baby meat! Slow cooked meats are usually soft enough for baby. Can be a meal you all eat together as a family ❤️

I buy a box of rusks, crush 2 and add milk untill it turns into a runny texture, 1 egg and fry to make pancakes (you can add fruits or puree fruit for extra flavour)
Mash and veg rolled into sausages and bake them - easy to hold
Boiled broccoli mixed into scrambled eggs

Apple pancakes are easy and so quick to make.
All you need is an apple, egg and a tablespoon of flour. (I peel the skin off an apple and grate it, then mix it with egg and flour)
You can also add other fruits for flavour or put it next to pancakes to try different things.
I also use piccolo baby pasta , you can add anything to it (I shred boiled chicken, some tomato puree and veggies) but like I said you can add anything you like.
Egg muffins - easy to hold and you can also add whatever you like to it.
French toast
Eggy bread

I'd highly recommend modifying what your eating to be baby suitable (no salt, less spice) or offering the same components of your meal just cooked differently. My boy loves slow cooker chicken curry or pasta. The curry is chicken thighs, tomato, garlic and ginger paste, medium curry powder &garam masala and either a tin of coconut milk or tomato passata depending on if we want creamy or not, everyone I my house loves this and if you like more spice just portion out babys when cooked and add chilli oil to taste. Pasta I just over cook his so it's nice and soft, so far I've done a creamy tomato sauce, pesto, creamy pesto, mac and cheese and bolognese. I keep shredded slow cooked chicken in my freezer so add some of that and some veg, my boy loves spinach, mushrooms and onions all very finely chopped and mixed in. If you want to go down the route of making veggie nuggets etc I just make a big batch at the weekend, he has them for lunch/dinner that day and the rest goes in the freezer.

how do you defrost fish cakes?

thaw it out in the fridge overnight 🙂
