Help please!

Going away for the weekend to Scotland and staying in a Premier Inn. LG is going to need cows milk but they don’t have fridges in the rooms. Has anyone had experience yet of staying in a hotel and using cows milk? How did you do it? Wondering how we are going to go about it and feeling a bit confused!

Cool box and ice packs?

Personally, I'd buy a small pint bottle and leave it in cold water in the sink. It would more than likely be used on the first day or if it isn't, it's not much to waste if it needed to go in the bin and I'd buy another 1 pint the day after.

I've got mini ice packs too and a foil lined bag to keep his yoghurts and milk cold on day trips and it stays pretty cool.

I’d personally be pretty tempted to go back to the ready made formula bottles if it’s just a day or two. We only do bedtime bottle atm so would just need to get a couple in. Saves a lot of the uncertainty of keeping everything at right temp. If sticking to cows milk then I agree with above maybe just buy a pint at a time just before you need it (possibly keep in a chillys bottle and in a colder place in the hotel room). Another option, just see if the hotel bar will sell you 200ml of milk as and when needed? Hope it works out and you enjoy your holiday! X

Lidl had a mini fridge for £10 this week not sure if that's an option if not like the person above said I'd be tempted to offer formula ready made x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Bedtime routine

I have a 12 week old and we struggle to get him to sleep in his next to me crib or Moses basket, so he sleeps in bed with us which means we’re struggling to have a bedtime routine as he won’t sleep till i go to bed with him.
Any suggestions please as he doesn’t sleep till around 11/12
