Weaning essentials & teething toys

So as we are approaching 6 months, I wanted to start getting things ready for weaning. I preferably wanted silicon bowls/cutlery/plates etc and then this ad came up for "the little weaning company" and omg the stuff came today and I'm already in love and haven't even used it yet! It all feels such good quality, and for all of this it was only £32 which is significantly cheaper than others I've seen! He loves the teething toy and unlike the nuby ones there's no hard bits for him to hurt himself on, but they still have texture on the other side! Just wanted to share this little company 😊 (also, this was ordered 4 days ago)

Oh I saw something about silicone weaning utensils online the other day apparently they make food taste awful and like plastic so if you find baby isn't liking it look at changing to another material and see if that helps! Just thought I'd share the tip!" Xxx

If the silicone plate tastes awful/soap pop a bit of bicard sofa and lemon mix in it as it is deodorising & gets all the tomato stains off ☺️

As a mother of nonverbal kids I need y'all with verbal kids to know that our babies are being abused at school.

Every other day there is something. A mom put a camera in her son's braids and caught a teacher choking him and calling him the n word. Poor baby couldn't speak but she knew something was up. There were multiple autistic kids in a school being taken to a basement and stripped naked.

I hope you teach your kids if they see something to say something to you because not everyone's babies can.

How to start un-swaddling

I have a 9 month old little boy and he still needs to be swaddled to go to sleep!! Yes hes able to roll but hasn’t rolled ever when asleep. He struggles with eczema and if his hands aren’t wrapped away he will scratch himself all night!! I have tried using socks to cause less damage to his face but still doesn’t help, i’ve also tried putting extra cream on which yet again doesn’t work as he will just rub it off!!

He is not a “cuddly” baby, i have tried soothing him by rocking him in my arms and still he doesn’t like it.

I have also tried just putting him down with his dummy and tried leaving him to “self soothe” also wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had as he just screamed and cried and kept crawling around keeping himself awake🫩🫩

Any advice would be DEEPLY appreciated!💕

how long does your LO sleep for?

i hope it's normal or i just hit the baby jackpot but my 2m old can sleep (nap) for 3+ hours.. I don't want to wake her but i feel bad because i'd think she'd be hungry by now? ofc i fed her when she wakes up but im just curious if sleeping 3+ hours is okay?? I will feed her and try to keep
her awake but then she'll go right back to sleep lol i shouldn't be complaining but that girl can sleeppppp.

Hot weather feeding

6 week old, the hot weather has started. She feels cool in her cot thankfully but do I wake her for feeds? She’s currently going 4 hours between feeds but has started to sleep a bit longer at night. Would it be best to wake her on the 4 hour mark with it being warmer?

Bathtime backache

Hey all, what are we doing to save our poor backs during bath time?

I'm still waiting on the 6 week clear to take a bath so can't jump in with her. And even if I could, do I still have to have it shallow? I couldn't cope with the coldness!

I have an angel care bath and leaning over is taking its toll! Also if anyone has tips for strengthening back muscles I'll give those a try!

Switch to bottle feeding.

I have EBF my little girl for 6 month. As much as I've loved it, its starting to become a lot and I want to transition to a bottle. So far she just refuses the bottle and I end up wasting milk. Have I left it too late? Has anyone else managed to move over to bottle at this age and have any tips?
