20 week scan - painful (?)

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and I expected the sonographer to apply more pressure when scanning as I am a bit of a bigger girl (size 16/18) but it was so hard it was actually painful and I kept wincing.
My 12 week scan was absolutely fine, a bit of pressure but nowhere near as much as this.
I am in pain today when I walk, it feels like I have been punched multiple times in the stomach.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had this experience?

Yes I had that I’m a 14/16 and I was in pain at my scan….top right hand side but my little one wasn’t playing ball and couldn’t get all the measurements needed x

I had my 20 week scan today and my stomach really hurts at the minute. I'm currently on enoxaparin injections daily so my stomach has quite a few bruises and the technician was trying to not put a lot of pressure on the bruises but I know she couldn't help it. She was so apologetic though x

I almost cried!! I was seconds away from asking him to stop before he moved to a different place 😢x

Yup, mine was so painful. Literally had tears in my eyes a couple of times. The following 2 days, my stomach was so sore and achy 😔

I'm usually a size 6 and during the scan, I was too excited to feel the pressure or pain but the next 2 days were really sore. I've been lucky with my pregnancy and part from the odd niggle, I've not had much pain but the last 2 days, I had to take paracetamol and use a hot water bottle.

Yeah! I feel like my tummy is bruised! But it's not intentional they just need to get all the measurements and most babies like to be stubborn and get their arms and legs in the way of everything x

Interestingly I had my 20 week scan yesterday and she was a lot more gentle than the woman that did my 12 week scan!
