Probably a silly question but the list of safe and unsafe foods is mind numbing, does anyone know if shop bought Caesar salad dressing is on the ok to eat list

I have had Tescos ceaser dressing since being pregnant! I think it’s okay to have xx

Personally i would treat a lot of what you read with a pinch of salt! Needlessly scares / worries people. NHS website is very helpful and gets straight to the point, I'd assume anything not mentioned in its specific form is fine. Bear in mind anything long dated in cans, cartons, jars and bottles will be super heat treated/pasteurised so any sauces / dressings like this would be ok. Wouldn't keep otherwise anyway 🙂

Check the ingredients to be sure. But I'm sure it would be fine.

Check the label, last one I bought specifically said not suitable if pregnant as contains unpasteurised milk x

I would just remember that most no go foods are about food poisoning. The one that is really to avoid is liver and things like paté which contain it because that is about high vitamin a content. The only time I did eat wrong in pregnancy was with my 3rd. We weren't very well off and I prioritised feeding my parter and other two. While pregnant and still partially breastfeeding no2. I ended up in MAC with a bunch of strange symptoms. They never got to the bottom of the symptoms but they cured them by keeping me in for 3 days making me sit down most of the time and asking me to choose of the high cal menu. By the way I was not and am not slim. So the moral is eat what you can eat what is easy. And don't stress
