Omg that’s awesome! I wish I could do this!

it’s so gratifying. And easy to learn! I might post a video of myself making it so you can see

Looks great!

That’s so cute !!

tat would be awesome! Did you purchase a kit or do it al yourself?

I bought the yarn and wood base separate. Both from different vendors on Etsy

Girl, I'm the same with waiting at the last minute. For my first, I had my husband build the crib while I was in labor 😅
I'm currently 32 weeks and have 2 crochet blankets that I'm supposed to have done before baby is born, and I haven't even touched them since the beginning of my pregnancy.

Mind sharing the link to the bottom piece?

Kudos to you! I don’t think I have the patience or attention span to crochet blankets

This is the link for the bottom piece but I did not have a good experience ordering from them. It came a week late and when I started to put the first piece of yarn through the hole it stained my yarn because the holes were so dirty and had some type of black residue in it so my husband had to clean it each hole before I can start the project. Also the holes are super small .. I had to do some extra stuff to get the yarn through because I used the 9mm yarn and the needle I’m using is 12mm. If I do this again I would trace the mattress that is be using for baby and then trace it on some plywood at Home Depot or something and (have my hubby) drill my own holes.

@kathy Hehe, yeah, they can take a while. I think the reason I'm not feeling rushed is because I already have the one I'm going to use at the hospital. It's the same one I made and used for my first and second, so of course, I have to use it for my 3rd.
I did make one at the start of this pregnancy, but it was only to try out a pattern and wasn't meant to be for this baby. I'll probably sell it in my shop.

@kathy oh see, I was curious because my husband has a laser machine, and I mentioned to him that this would be a good product to make. Yeah, that's not good that they didn't even clean the holes for you! The laser machine burns and leaves that black residue. They should have properly cleaned it for you. Especially since it's meant for a baby. Smh.

Amazing! I planned to do this but never got to it.

I didn’t check to see how many orders they’ve fulfilled but you would definitely be some competition for them. I was looking for a vendor that made them this size but bigger holes and couldn’t find it so I settled with this base

So cute I love that idea!! I’m crocheting a baby blanket for my baby boy 🥰 it’s so nerve racking trying to finish the project before they are here lol

yes!! I have to keep reminding myself like ok I can still keep working on it even after she gets here lol 😆

thanks! It’s called braided cord I think. It’s 9mm.

Omg I am impressed!
