Could she possibly have some jaundice? I know two of the symptoms is hard to wake and not eating much.

@Jade she has but its not near the line of needing treatment my son had it and it never effected him like this and he had it more

How often is she feeding?

My baby is 3 weeks tomorrow but for forst 2 weeks she didnt really wake for feeds and only drank 60ml shes now on 90-120ml she had jaundice bur like you said above not enough to need treatment if your concerned just contact midwife xx

One of my boys would only drink like 30ml. I was told to change his nappy before his feed, or strip him down to wake him up a bit. We're now at 3 weeks today and he takes anywhere between 60 - 120ml now. He started feeding better at about two weeks so all I have to do is change his nappy before a feed. On another note, I was told until he put his birth weight back on, to feed him every two hours so that even if he was drinking a little, he was doing it often. I was also told that with him being born via a c-section, he was probably still full of mucus etc - which normally comes out when you deliver vaginally so it might be that which stops him from drinking properly. I don't know if any of this helps, but good luck !

Our little one is 12 days old and had jaundice (close to treatment line) and we couldn't wake him for feeds and was barely getting him to drink 1oz each feed. That was around days 3-6. But now we're getting him to drink 3oz every 3.5hrs. It took some perseverance with waking him and keeping him awake. Whenever he'd cry we'd give a bottle as a first response to help get the milk in him and it's finally worked. We did ring triage who said if it continued then to go A&E for check up as the jaundice levels can increase even 1-2 weeks after birth, so maybe pop down there if baby isn't getting much milk intake

1-2oz is a normal feed for a week old... How is her weight now? My boy lost 14% and we were hospitalised, he was jaundiced but under the treatment line for ages, (did go over eventually) but even under rhe treatment line he couldn't feed properly

@Heather-Jayde she is still 9% below her birth weight she is 8 days old now

@Raven that's not abnormal for a bigger weight loss, I think my boy got back to birth weight at 19 days old. Are you waking her to feed or is she waking herself x

@Heather-Jayde she isnt waling i am setting alarms all night every 3 hours but she doesnt even wake or drink much tried changing her nappy before hand and in the middle and burping and still nothing

@Raven honestly if that is the case, I'd be speaking to your gp. When was her jaundice levels last checked? How far under the treatment line was she

@Heather-Jayde my midwife comes tomorrow to weigh her again and the levels were very low no way near treatment line she seems to eat alot in the day just not a night
