My 6 MO has learnt to go on her front great! But she does it when she’s asleep… she hasn’t learnt how to roll back! She sometimes moves her head to the side but otherwise she’s face down. I can’t take the stress! What do I do?
Leave her?
Move her back every time?
But what is she does it and I’m sound asleep
Someone please help a very anxious mumma!!

Completely normal! I remember when my little one started to do this. He sleeps face down a lot and it used to give me a fright but he would always move his head as and when he needed/wanted. Trust they’ll be alright if they got themselves into that position and they’re obviously comfortable being face down! Save yourself the waking up to check etc x

thanks holly, so scary isn’t it!!!! I have an owlet sock I’m going to put on her ( bought when she was newborn and used it once) guess I’ll get my moneys worth now!
So even though she can’t roll back onto her back you think she will be okay?! X

My son is doing the same and he’s only 4 months. I’ve been letting him sleep like it for the past week as every time I move him onto his back he cried and fights to go back on his tummy. It’s so stressful.

right! Same, I move her back and it’s screaming! I’m all for getting comfy but do you have to be face down?! 😩🥴

As long as she can get herself into that position then she should be ok! Z

😫😂 I turn his head to the side so he’s not face down and he stays like it thankfully. He does have amazing head control even though he can’t actually roll back from tummy to back yet.

My daughter used to do this, I would move her gently whenever I saw her in this position but I obviously slept and things so she clearly spent time in that position and was fine. As above said if she got herself there she should be fine. Also the bloody owlet sock gave me more anxiety than not having it on, it works fine for some kids but just a warning - my girl was always moving it into the wrong position and pop goes the weasel would wake me up all the time in a panic that she'd stopped breathing, I sold mine in the end!

oh interesting, yeah it does go off randomly. I may sell it and just get baby monitor as I go and check her all the time anyway!
**update**
Everytime I woke up she was face down but breathing and she’s alive and kicking watching ms Rachel lol so I may not worry as much tonight! Thanks all x

I was going to get the owlet but now I’ve read your comments I won’t bother so thanks lol. Saved me some money!

yeah it’s £350! Don’t get me wrong new born fresh home I used it for sure! Not so much now
