It’s caused by dehydration or a nutrient deficiency. Drink more water and make sure you take your pre-natal vitamins.

I drink 5-6 bottles of water everyday😭 and prenatals everyday so I don’t know what it could be

Avatar

it only happens when I’m sleep and then wake up

Avatar

it could just be you’re pinching a nerve in your sleep. I’ve woken up from leg cramps and it’s always been that I had a pinched nerve and just had to switch positions.

I get 3 every week in the middle of the night in my right calf too!!! I also drink a ton of water and do prenatals but haven’t found anything that helps yet 😑 so I sympathize with your pain

Trying stretching your calves before bed! It helped me and I haven’t had it in a while :: knock on wood::

I get them most nights despite lots of water and daily magnesium supplements. It’s just part of it unfortunately. I guess the silver lining is that it no longer panics me like it did when it was new 🤷‍♀️😂 I just get up and stretch and then go back to bed.

I found specifically calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D deficiencies can be a cause so the last time I had one I ate some ice cream. It can also be cause by inflammation so elevate and ice can also be effective. Worst case take Tylenol.

OB recommend 1 liquid IV a day and thank you! Because those are soo bad!

I started taking LMNT hydration packets and I don’t get leg cramps anymore

Try to eat banano, at least two per day. Maybe it is a lack of potassium

It’s happening to me lately 😮‍💨☹️ and I have a lot back pain .

Only thing that helped me was a glass of milk before bed. I was drinking tons of water. Charley Horses are more common during pregnancy from what my doctor said
