Water break but no contractions

Yes had v similar experience. It took 5 days for contractions to start, but baby is here safely now. Have they given you antibiotics? x

My waters went at 35 weeks with my last, no contractions for me either, no dilation. Its not common for it to happen but it does. Not sure how long it's been for you now but wishing you luck and hopefully things will start to happen for you very soon x

For me I ended up staying in instead of being sent home as I got an infection within the 48hours and needed an emergency c section.

no antibiotic as off yet. I'm currently around 38+3 days.. Just checked the heart beat n sent home n if no contractions starts then wait till 24 hours before induction can proceed.

I'm currently at the hospital with a similar case...waters broke but no dilatation or contractions and they induced me last night, so now just on the waiting game...

Just keep an eye on your temp and how you're feeling in yourself, which they've probably already told you to do.. With me I started to feel just feel Ill and just not right, I had a temperature and high BP, and felt light in my chest almost like palpitations. They were actually going to send me home aswel, until I told them how I felt and the consultant took one look at me. Not to be negative just hope that helps anyone reading, sometimes you goto trust yourself and speak up too if you feel something isn't right x

absolutely thank you, I was feeling ok when I went hospital. Cuz I woke up from sleep n gushing water broke down below.. I called triage line and they asked me to get checked. I felt at 3.30am they hardly had any staff in MAC.. Just one midwife. I am feeling little tired n headache, they checked my blood pressure and temperature in hospital and I was ok then . But thank you will definitely keep eye on it.. I live few minutes drive to hospital so I'd go back anytime I'm feeling not well before 24 hours if contractions don't start.

just keep an eye out for signs of infection as others have said - no baths or sex! Hope all goes well!

I had the same thing. It took a couple days for contractions to start with the help of pessaries. Good luck xx
