Likely 3rd C-Section

I've recently been told by consultant that the surgeons that done my last c-section have advised against a VBAC. I'm so gutted, I'm feeling deflated and not sure where to turn or what to do for birth plan. I would have to have baby a week early too.
This would be my 3rd C-section so pretty much rules out future children(if we decided to have a 4th).
Of course my main concern is the welfare of baby but it also sets me back so long having this surgery. Both times I thought I was going to die during birth/section so I am nervous about that. I am also nervous about having the stomach injections for blood thinning again, I'm pretty sure I had an allergic reaction and the first 6 weeks with baby here was hell for my skin. I developed a rash all over and it was terribly itchy! Not to mention the full body swelling from the fluid retention after surgery. My bf and daughter had to help me a lot last time and I felt resented for it, so I am dreading having to rely so heavily again on them and with little other support. Scared to lose my independence again.

Why does you having a 3rd section mean you can't have anymore? Is there a specific reason given? I know a fair few people who have had more than 3 sections and still allowed more, if you google it, theres also no limit to how many c sections you can have. Obviously it depends individually as well if some have had complications etc. The swelling can happen if it's a vaginal or c section birth, i looked like an elephant after my first who was vaginal, however my swelling was there but not as bad when I had my 2nd by emergency c section! Have you spoken to your midwife/consultant about your worries surrounding the section? Maybe they can put you asleep under local anaesthetic during instead of the numbing needle if you need it due to anxiety surrounding the delivery etc? I know what you mean about the injections, I hated doing them too but thats only temporary thankfully! You need support either way you have your baby and time to recover, i'm sure they don't mind helping you, have you talked to them about it? Xx
