Teeth

Babies get teeth at different times. I have 2 cousins that were each born with a tooth or two.

My first didn’t start getting teeth until right before his first birthday.

My daughter is 9mo and her pediatrician said she probably won’t get teeth until the same time as her brother did.

This made me feel better.. my son is 9months and I want to give him real food not purées and with no teeth I’m scared hell choke

My son only JUST got his first teeth and he got 4 at once 🙃 they’ll come!

I’ve started to give her real foods because she’s been making the chewing motion with her gums since about 6 months. Start off with like eggs and bread and gradually work in more foods!

even if they make choking noises ? I want to give him eggs and such but his dad thinks he’ll choke and we don’t have anyone to really ask lol

Give mushy foods in swallowable sizes. That way really they can just swallow it but it gives them a chance to get used to using the jaw. Also mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes are great foods to start with if you're scared. I was in the same boat and was terrified to give my LO anything. When I tried the purees she made choking sounds. Daycare ended up getting her to actually eat them and loves it. She's still picky with me but daycare got her to eat beef stew and spaghetti this week. No clue how, she won't eat it for me

Yeah, I started with non purées at 6mo and she has no teeth. Look up blw groups on Facebook. They’re your best reference and help on how to recognize choking vs gagging, best foods, how to cut, cook, etc.

My son doesn’t have teeth yet either but his pediatrician said that every baby is different and I would have to continue looking out for it up until his 12 months so your not alone

My daughter will be 10 months on the 7th of October and I swear she has been teething since she was around 3 months old but still has no teeth. She had been white calling for over a month but they still haven't come through. She won't let me stimulate her gums, but she does have so many teething toys she's constantly chewing on.

my daughter will be 10 months soon and has no teeth yet. We started purees around 4 months old and she still eats them but doesn't really like them anymore. I'm also terrified to give her real food even things like eggs or super small pieces of pancakes, bread, ECT; however, when my mom watches her she eats alot of oatmeal and soups. I did give her cut up fresh steamed broccoli a few days ago and she loved it. We just started giving her cut up ravioli and spaghetti a few days ago as well and she loves it too. She also eats fresh fruit in a net feeder.
