She doesnât drink more than that and her weight is below the average. But our doctor says she is fine.

I think every baby is different mama! If your pediatrician says itâs okay it should be! but if your gut feeling says its not maybe reach out to a different doctor and get their opinion!! goodluck!!

She suppose to have solids since 6 months of age? So if she had 3 meals a day she doesnt need to drink every 2 hours. 3 to 4 bottles a day would be ideal. Infants at that age get nutrients out of food as well, yes milk is still important but not as much as new born becos 2 hourly feeds is new born schedule. I would start adding formula to weetabix, porridge etc to fortify her foods. It also depends what percentile she was born in, if she was always on smaller side then its nothing to worry about

My LB drinks 5.5oz every 3 hours at 3 months and I feel like he eats to much. Every baby is different.
If you calculate it out itâs not really that big of a difference at the end of the day. (44oz vs 48 total ounces) he will be around that many oz until 6 months. We also may start him in solids when he is able to control his body sitting up which is most likely in 2 or 3 weeks.
If your baby is hitting her milestones then she could probably start solids. Iâd talk to your doctor to see if she could start and also to see what foods will help her gain. But also if you concerned Iâd see a second doctor

At 8 months they should be âtryingâ out different kinds of foods. Itâs not necessary for her to have 3 meals a day like stated above. She will get more nutrients out of the milk versus adding it to heavy foods that will make her full longer.
I would start out with fruits and veggies, if you havenât already. It sounds like youâre feeding her enough calories since sheâs eating about every 2 hours, seems normal to me. Is she happy, putting weight on and has wet/dirty diapers frequently?
If she is gaining weight and not losing, you shouldnât be concerned. You got this!

All babies are different. They are smart beings they know how much their bodies can handle xx

Iâm not sure the proper feeding amounts and times for that age because I have a new baby and donât have the energy to do advanced research on what to expect đŤ
Have you seen where she sits on the growth chart and what her percentile is? Could track her weight and if it continues to be a concern for you, bring it to your appointment.
Youâre a good mama, Iâm hoping the stress and anxiety around this isnât too overwhelming for you. xo

If sheâs still staying in the same growth curve it shouldnât be a problem. My LO only ever drank 4 oz bottles, even as an 8 month old, she only has about 5-6 oz bottles now at 10 months no matter how much we try to give her bigger bottles or space it out more etc but she just has an extra bottle in the day. I would say you could try space it out to closer to 4 hourly bottles with meals in between etc but some babies just like little and often so I wouldnât stress about it.
