So I’m 38weeks n a few days and I just had my midwife appointment.
I’m due on the 16th but I feel like this baby is not coming anytime soon. Even the doctors and midwives are talking like this baby isn’t coming anytime soon which is really making me feel shitty.
I have to have my first iron transfusion on Monday the 9th and my second on Monday the 16th which is my due date.
They’ve booked me in for a sweep the day after my due date so the 17th of October and if that doesn’t work then they’ll book me in on the 24th of October.
They then said they won’t give me an induction date until after the second sweep so now we’re looking at the end of the month which would make me 42+ weeks.
I know some people can be pregnant that long but I have 0 intentions of still being pregnant in 4 weeks time. I’m just about coping now at 38 weeks. I just want this baby out. I’m always in pain, I feel so defeated idk how much longer I can take being pregnant

Yes let it out ! Semi same boat but I'm only 37+4. Baby is 3/5s in pelvis and engaged but cervix is still like nah. I feel so so heavy, pelvic pain is worse because he's so low, I'm in between nausea and wanting to eat constantly, I don't get any sleep 😅 it won't be long though! And baby will be here. Women are bloody strong x

It is the most miserable wait. I feel you.
Midwife and Doctor chat is standard - they were booking me in for sweeps and inductions like it was a done deal. I guess it helps their bed management and workload rotas. Plus wouldn't it be awful if they gave you false hope? (The number of folk who said 'you're still here??' with my first made me equally miserable).
It is so boring and painful, but the Baby WILL come out, whether by nature or by intervention. That's for certain.
What do you have for the pain? I found that the TENS machine gave me a gadget to play with, and took some edge off the misery.
