Severe vaginal pain

Hello Everyone,

I have been in a lot of pain in vagina from the last few weeks and as of now, it has increased to an extent that I am unable to bear. I messaged the midwife, but haven't heard back. I am just 27 weeks so not sure what is causing this much pain that I am unable to turn sides, walk or get up after laying down. Does anyone have any similar experience?

I have constant crotch pain which feels very similar to what you are describing. My OB said it is probably the baby pressing on nerves.

Omg! I’m not sure if you mean literally in your vagina, but I’ve been having soreness in my outer areas (pubic mound/vulva) for a few days and I’m over it! I feel like I got kicked in the crotch and it’s sore in the fatty part, so I don’t understand it - clearly not muscles stretching like the round ligament pain felt elsewhere. I assume maybe it’s my pelvic bones being strained or something and that is causing the discomfort? But it also affects rolling over in bed and such. If a little humor helps, I texted my friend about my painful puss and got lots of funny alliteration in return: Painful puss?! The violent vulva? The spicy slit? The wronged wisker biscuit? The frayed fanny? The sensitive sass? The uncomfortable underneath? The crotchety kitty? Not a bitchy biscuit!? lol - it made me laugh, anyway.

I am so glad I am not the only one feeling this! I haven't even been able to figure out how to start describing these feelings to my doctor, but you hit the nail on the head. I'm also afraid they'll just tell me it's because shes putting pressure on my nerves and me have wasted the time and money to go out there before my appointment on the 24th.

I am thinking of going to urgent care since pain is unbearable no matter what kind of movement I am making. It stops hurting only when I don't move at all.

It's not even in surrounding areas, just the whole vagina area.

Midwife says it's normal in pregnancy but I am not sure. It should not hurt this much that you find it hard to even do household chores or move from one place to another.

I am 27 weeks and I’ve been feeling that same uncomfortable pain as well! They suggested I look into a belly band to relieve some pressure. Last ultrasound baby boy was head down. I’ve been wearing it 3-4 hours per day and have noticed less pain.

It’s pelvic girdle pain. I’ve been having it as well. You can google it but I’m starting pelvic floor therapy next week to help. Also belly bands can help some.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
