Anti sickness tablets

Hiya
Has anyone been on anti sickness tablets? I’ve tried two types and nothing seems to be working. Do they take a while to kick in?

I used cyclizine (or something like that- I can’t remember the spelling). It stopped the vomiting but it didn’t stop the nausea. It did lessen it slightly.

I was prescribed Cyclizine but i never took them so i dont know the effects of them but everyone mentioned cyclizine when i was going through my morning sickness

I used several tablets but found they worked so much better with ant acid medication too

I’m using promethazine hydrochloride, it’s taken a little while to build up I think and the nausea is still there but I’m able to eat a little more. I’d say it comes and goes in waves now rather than being a constant sticky feeling 😩

i was prescribed Metoclopramide, they worked pretty quickly & really helped my nausea!!

I was prescribed cyclizine first, did nothing other than make me tired and made my sickness worst, then promethazine, again done nothing at all.
Finally got prescribed ondansetron and I’ve never looked back, now 31 weeks and still taking it daily as if I don’t I’m sick! I have HG🙄

I took B6 3 times a day xx

I’ve been given cyclizine and now promethazine.. the second one seems to be worse… 😭

I was put on cyclizine and used them for a few weeks, whilst they did work for me I also got incredibly badly restless to the point I was crying😩

I used Cyclizine the whole way through my pregnancy as I had HG. They stopped me being sick but they didn’t stop the nausea. They didn’t work 100% as I still needed a drip in the hospital once a week but much better than nothing x

When I was pregnant the tablets didn't work for me, I had to have injections instead, I know some tablets/injections can cause harm to the baby an even give the baby a cleft lip, this didn't happen to me as i told thdm i dont want the ones that can do that, just make sure whatever you have you ask them if it can harm the baby or give the baby a cleft lip

Metroclopramide didn't work for me so I'm currently using cyclizine and procloperazine interchangeably every 4 hours

Cyclizine worked for me but it did take a little while for them to kick in.

Cyclizine didn’t work for me, a lot of medications didn’t work on there own. I’m now on Metroclopramide, Ondansetron and Xoneva all three together work for me very well as long as I’m consistent

Avatar

I took diclectin and it worked right away for me!

Metoclopromide was rubbish for me. I had to take zofran/ondansetron every day of my pregnancy. Without it I couldn’t eat a thing, couldn’t work, couldn’t leave the house and was debilitated.
I’m so grateful for zofran!

I had xonvea 4 times a day and they worked x

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
