That’s usually a sign of being tongue tied. I would talk with their dr or lactation consultant.

My little one doesn’t have a tongue tie according to the hospital Ped and the her first or current pediatrician but she clicks all the time

My son is not tongue tied but he makes a clicking noise when he breaks suction during feeds. I have an over supply and forceful let down that he has a hard time keeping up with.

My little one does this. I’ve met with two LCs. It’s not a tongue tie for me. It’s her controlling the fast flow of milk. She breaks the latch and pinches the nipple resulting in the clicking to slow down my flow. It hurt for a bit but now my nipples are used to it. I notice that when my supply is high, she does it more. When it gets low, she does it less. My LC said not to worry about it if it doesn’t hurt me. I just burp her more for air
