What’s your new milk routine for 1 year?

My baby will be 1 next week and I’m still giving her 3 bottles of formula in baby bottles every day.

I know that when they’re 1 it needs to change to real milk and be put in different type bottles.

What is your routine for your babies now?

How many ounce and what time of day are you transitioning to?
Can anyone recommend a good sippy cup? I’m a bit overwhelmed with choice I don’t know if I should get one with a straw or not.

LO is almost 13 months, we have chosen to take a slow approach to transition, person preference, how ever he is still on 3 bottles 2 of which are still fomula & the other whole milk, we will be doing it at our own pace, it works for us!!
He’s still very much learning to drink his water properly from a sippy cup ( tommee tippee one) so will swap to that once he’s more confident I don’t see any rush I would suggest a non spill one though as he does get his water everywhere currently that’s my only advice with then the type of bottle, we never changed the oz he was having either it’s still the same as it always was x

Our LB is just over 12 months and now on
7am 8oz formula
12.30pm 7oz formula
7pm 7oz cows milk (warmed)
We will keep evening as cows milk and reduce down in time.

Still use his formula bottle for cowd milk.

Will keep him like this for another week as he is abit off and more than normal dirty nappy, before drop midday bottle. Will work with nursey to stop his morning bottle over next month and work out what we give him between wake up (6ish) and nursey breakfast about 8.15am.

We use straw cup (tumtum and bbox) for water so will at somepoint use these for cows milk.

Either open cup or straw cups are recommended, as these are life long skills. Sippy cups are nolonger recommended.

We still give formula in a bottle at bedtime. She only has the 1 bottle a day. We also have no desire to wean her off of that until she's ready to. We tried to get her onto cows milk and she wasn't having it at all and would refuse the bottle then scream at bedtime so we switched back.
She uses a straw cup or open cup the rest of the day with plain water in

My girl has oat milk twice a day and formula at bed time, we tried changing her bottle and persevered for over a week and she just refused it. Then would wake up early hours crying for milk when she usually sleeps through

My little girl is just 1. She has been weaned off formula on to cows milk over a week and taken to it really well. We gradually did it e.g an 8oz bottle was 6oz formula and 2 cows and then kept reducing the formula.
She has 8oz at 730
8oz 230pm
9oz before bed.
We are keep to get her off the 230pm next but she loves her milk 😂 x

My little boy has a morning bottle (cows milk) and a bedtime bottle (formula) - purely because we have some left! I will change it to cows milk when we run out. I have kept it in bottles. I wouldn't put pressure on yourself to change the bottle as well as milk at the same time. I'm going to tackle the bottle in a month or so maybe.

We've recently gone from 3 to 2 bottles and I just cut the middle one and offered an extra snack and he was absolutely fine, now we have 1/2 snacks, 3 meals and 2 bottles a day

We use the Tum Tum straw cup for water and my little boy loves it xxx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
