Thought yall might get a good laugh from this story

So two days ago I had a super stressful day and started getting some weird pains in my left abdomen. They lasted like 30 minutes then went away and I was like, cool, round ligament or Braxton hicks. Then yesterday I got some more cramping in my lower abdomen, and felt off enough to take the rest of the day off work and call my OB. Well, after talking her through what I was experiencing (no other symptoms, like signs of losing my mucus plug or water breaking or bleeding), I got diagnosed with....constipation πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I mean she reassured me that I'm nowhere close to the first woman to call in with these sorts of symptoms, and not to be embarrassed and that it's absolutely the right thing to do to call if I'm feeling off/have questions. She also said I did the right thing taking off work because it's likely constipation mixed with Braxton hicks brought on from working long hours and standing all day, and basically my uterus was yelling at me to slow down. Still tho...I called outta work for freaking constipation?! Welcome to the third trimester I guess πŸ€πŸ˜…

Oh my!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I actually think I’m having signs of constipation too..I was having the exact same issues on yesterday and recently starting taking iron pills about 2 weeks ago..lol

@Tekeyvia yes!! The freaking iron! She had mentioned that prenatals tend to be binding anyway, and I also recently added an iron pill since my prenatals don't have any. It said "gentle" iron so I just kinda assumed it wouldn't be that bad but, apparently it's made enough of a difference

Have you been taking the iron pills everyday or every other day??? Taken them every day made my stomach hurt more so I had to actually start every other day 😩😩

@Tekeyvia I take a 25mg every day. I might try the every other day and see if helps though, that's a great idea!!

It’s probably more common than we think it is. In my second trimester I called my obgyn because I felt so much pressure in my vagina and kept having to pee a tiny bit so often, called off work. Turns out I did too much the previous day, just doing cleaning and organizing at home πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.
