Sick baby 2 months

We have unfortunately had a sickness going through our house. My boyfriend had it first and 2 weeks later me and my baby both caught it the same time:( Im experiencing sore throat, fatigue and super congested. I can tell my baby is struggling. He isn’t eating more than 3 to 3 and a half oz and he has been on 5 oz so I’m a bit concerned he isn’t getting enough hydration. I am constantly getting his mucus and boogers out like they are never ending and it sounds like it’s in his chest. What do I do? he is so young its worrying me about him being sick. I will use a humidifier and I guess just keep trying to decongest him. Any other advice?

Hey momma,

I went through this when my baby was almost a month old it’s super scary, however try and let hot water run in the bathroom and let the steam fill up and sit in bathroom with baby. Check his temp and make sure he has no fever. If he’s urinating throughout the day it’s a good sign that he’s not dehydrated.

For his nose, use a saline nasal spray then suction it out using a nasal bulb syringe! Check temp every once in a while, if its over 100.4, they advise to go to ER. There is soo much going around! As long as there is more 6-8 wet diapers per day, he should be getting enough to eat!

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
