Anyone else feeling like their November 2022 babe is weaning themself too early? I’m struggling to get him to nurse even 3 times in 24 hours. He’s just too busy and curious to sit still for it. I’m not ready!! 😕

Yes. But I am ready for her to wean off. She is bitting me now.

Honestly I hope this happens to me; I’d rather her want to wean herself than me to wean her and have to tell her no more and have her be sad ◠̈

My girl has also been very distracted but lately I figured out that if I give her a toy dying busing she stays latched for the whole feeding while playing with the toy. That helps herbaty focus on one task. Honestly everything works. I give her anything that draws attention. A hair tie I carry on my wrist is great too

That’s a really good way to look at it in a positive light. Thank you!

of course! I’d rather have me be sad about it than her if that makes sense ! ❤️🩹 good luck momma! We got this !

Great idea! I tried wearing a special necklace for him to play with but it’s not in the right place for him to grab. If I hold something that might work better. Thanks!

yes! Definitely try! I noticed that really ANYTHING that will keep her hands occupied works! And if she drops it mid feed I try to pick it up asap and give it back to her so she doesn’t get distracted. Also any loud sounds from the environment or people talking to you while you’re breastfeeding distract her so much cause she pulls away and wants to look at who’s talking so going to a quiet place and giving something interesting to hold has been the winning strategy for me!❤️ good luck!

My boy was on formula and would only nurse at night time
up until last week and now he’s refusing the bottle and he’s on the boob 24hours 🥲🥲🥲 it’s so tiring. I don’t know what happened 😩

My 10 month old only takes 2-3 bottles a day of 3-4 oz 😩 she likes food more than milk and i was stressing out but she seems more happy

Thank you! Tried last night and already a little better 🙏💕

I guess it’s just how it goes for some kids. Thanks.

Crazy! I guess you never know what they’re gonna do 🤪 Good luck. Hope you get a break soon!

🙏💗

I had the same issue. I can't nurse my LO outside and in a bright room. The only way is to nurse him when he's sleepy. It might create a sleep association, but at least he takes it. He's almost 11 and I think it's still early to stop breastfeeding them at this age. It's still either breast milk or formula until 12m (at least! According to CDC). I would keep trying

Same here… only seems to work when he’s sleepy. I’ve started just pumping and giving it to him in a sippy cup, so at least he gets the nutrition he still needs. Makes me feel better to know he’s not the only one though. Seems like lots of mamas are struggling with this at this age. Thanks for your input 🙏
