Does anyone know what can help with a gassy 6 day-old? My son seems to be experiencing stomach discomfort when he breast feeds. He’s very gassy and passes wind and it’s making him really cry/fussy during feeds. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! X

I’d advise doing bicycle legs too to make sure all the wind is out and feed him up right if you’re able to! X
Thanks Sorry, I’m so new to this - would you advise bicycle kicks before feeds? Multiple times a day? I don’t really know what I’m doing!! 😬

We're using infacol with our 2 week old x
Hi thanks for replying! May I ask if it’s working? And how long did it take to work? I’m desperate!

My 9 day old is the same. It’s only happened a couple times and takes us off guard. The thing that calms her is skin to skin(we take it in turns so her screaming doesn’t overwhelm us) and then up right burping. She usually eventually does a dirty nappy and then we can move on! Good luck!
Thanks so much for replying ! I will definitely try these suggestions. Thank you xx

We have this also with 3wk old, but nothing seems to help it after weeks of trying :(

It works yeah, take before a feed, we only use it at night time though because that's when he gets uncomfortable, it was recommended by our pharmacist & midwife xx

Bicycle legs about 30 mins after a feed just to make the wind pass! And Infacol is a dreeaaaaam! I know the crying and fussiness can be hard for you too, it usually calms down at about 5/6 months but for now just try them things and hopefully it’ll get better :)
Thanks so much xxx
