I tried breastfeeding baby for the first 3 days but was unsuccessful, I managed to give him 5 syringes of colostrum but after that he has been on formula. Now that he is showing more interested in milk and I have milk is it worth trying again now that he’s 12 days old? Or is it too late?
If it doesn’t work again assuming this starts the whole milk drying up process again?

I would try again if you can. I've not had my milk dry up but I have had it take a big dip, so I know it's definitely possible to increase it.

I don't think it's too late, I personally would try, but whatever suits and is comfortable for you and baby! I think the first 3 days the milk hasn't really come in, so hopefully now the more you express/feed supply may increase (that's the theory)
Do you have any breastfeeding support locally as I visited mine and they really helped me! Also in my area you're still a patient at the hospital for 28 days after birth so may be able to contact them for breastfeeding support.

I struggled the first 4 days as my milk didn’t come in till then . Baby was fussing and on and off latch also was very sleepy to feed. I would try again, now that your supply will be more. For me it took 2 weeks to be settled with breastfeeding and now she has BF in the day and bottle at night but I will pump once at 2/3am x

Definitely not too late! Contact the LaLeche group on Facebook for support they’re great x

Not too late, look up relactation on YouTube to see other mom’s methods and experiences.

Definitely not too late. Don't have experience here. But definitely as much skin to skin as possible and lots of latching on when baby is rooting and try to get cues early before baby cries, feeding off of both sides, knowing the difference between a nutritive suck vs a non nutritive suck and using side lying positions so u can get as much rest as possible when feeding.
I'm not sure of what other advice to give except you will know that baby is satisfied based off of how relaxed they are after a feed....good output in nappies and weight gain. Cluster feeding is to be expected and I'm not sure if baby would be fussy after using bottles for a bit as they would have to work harder for your milk. Ensure a good latch too and research this so you don't get sore nipples which may put you off feeding if they get very sore ...varying feeding positions if so is helpful.
Definitely as above YouTube videos and la leche league groups are great for advice and for knowing what to expect and what's normal. Best of luck.
