I had my little one. She's beyond perfect... on another note, I know my body is still recovering, but has anyone dealt with really swollen ankles and feet after a c section. It's bad. I wanna be seen, but I don't wanna be at the hospital rn. I just wanna be home on my couch with my feet up.

My right foot is super swollen. I had a vaginal birth, google says it’s very common! Our bodies still need to get rid of a lot of fluids. Just test mama!

Just try to wiggle your toes, elevate your legs intermittently to allow your tendons to “pump” excess fluids back toward your body, walk around in compression socks intermittently, & have your partner massage the fluid towards the body !

Yep. What the others have said …

Congratulations!!!! Were you able to hold baby girl right after for golden hour?

I had a C-section on the 4th too! My ankles are ridiculously swollen.

@Jamielyn I didn't hold her till much later I was sick from the anesthesia

@Courtney awwe bday twins. Mines, too, my feet look like brown balloons it's horrible. It hurt to stand even when I'm lying down. I have some pain in my right foot

I have the same issue - gave birth on the 2nd. I’m going to try an epsom salt foot soak today - something my doula recommended. The salt is supposed to really help bring down swelling. Otherwise, I’ve been using compression socks but it’s made zero difference so far =/

@Lauren, let me know if Epsom salt works. I can grab some next time I go out

I was very swollen all over and I think it’s because I couldn’t move for a while had an epidural before the c section for hours then couldn’t walk after the c section and you get pumped with sooo many fluids that it take a bit to get it out. Also my daughter was born on the 4th too!

@Gabrielle, aww, congratulations. Another birthday twin. I'll be glad when everything is back to normal. My body hurts
