Essentials like baby grows, baby vests, size 0/1 nappies, ready made formula with teats, blankets and for yourself some comfy clothes, slippers, mat pads, nipple cream, breast pads, disposable underwear, mat bras

thank you!! X

Extra long charger!
Dressing gown, I’ve gone for a thin one as our hospital always has the heating on and I’m always hot there.
Nighties, nappies, cotton wool balls, wash stuff, hair ties, buttons up pjs for skin to skin, big knickers, your own pillow/blanket, mitts&hat for going home. I’ve got one of them adult colouring books, took it in when I was having my son too kept me busy for hours!
Tablet or stuff downloaded to watch on your phone, baby blanket x

If you download the bounty app theirs a checklist section with a dedicated hospital bag section for you & baby, I found it a great help when gathering bits here & there, also recommend packing a backup bag to keep in the car with extra baby outfits, clothes for yourself, snacks etc incase of an extended stay

I got told not to bring any bottles as they aren’t sterile! Instead if you are bottle feeding use the ready made bottles that come in packs. Also no dummy as not sterile?? But entirely up to you 💗

they have Milton buckets in the ward which you can use to sterilise them

sterilise dummy before going and keep in dummy holder and I have just don’t the pre-made bottles also as a lot of hospitals don’t provide area to sterilise.. all hospital dependent 😊

Ooh okay! Maybe they don’t want me using the steriliser 🤣🤣🙈 or are trying to promote breast feeding !!

a lot of hospitals don’t provide the buckets anymore, it’s literally hospital dependent. A lot stopped over covid time and just never started certain things again 😊

If you have MAM bottles they can self Sterilise in the microwave in 3 mins with just water! Or take some Milton tablets with you, that's my plan if I can't breastfeed x

@Kimberley thought I'd reply on yours as you mentioned extra long charger.
Another idea for this is a battery pack/power bank so your phone can rest beside you and is mobile! I did this with my last baby and it was so good especially when moving to ward or getting in and out of bed not having to navigate the wires 🥰

definitely fab idea, I was in for 2 weeks previously so was based at the one bed! But power pack is great idea 😊

@Kimberley bless you that must have been tough being in so long! 🩷 hope you have a shorter stay with baby no 2🥰
I was only in a few days but It came in handy in the early breastfeeding days too, being stuck for long periods of time!
I would charge the power pack in between time so could always have my phone on me. X
