2.5 year old major social anxiety.

I was wondering if anyone is going through the same or had any tips or advice.
My daughter has never been great with socialising with new people, but she would still get on with what we needed to do as long as I was close by. Recently she’s been terrible. To the point where she’s just screaming and crying with anyone who talks to her or me. She’s even doing it to some family members who she sees a lot! It’s just so hard to do anything with her at the moment whilst she’s like this. She doesn’t go to nursery but will be starting next year and I’m dreading it already because of how she is :(

My daughter is completely the opposite she is also 2,5 years old but is suspected autistic recently every time she sees a stranger she says “hi friend what’s your name , my name is… (her name) like literally with every person on the street 😂 I think if you keep getting out in public or go to play groups it will go by time remember it’s still a new life for them and they are learning a lot exciting and overwhelming things at the same time , surely it will go away give it some time. You are doing great momma.

Wanted to let you know you're not alone, my little girl is introverted and doesn't like socialising for the most part especially with new people. I know for her it's part of her personality, I wonder if your little one may be more introverted? Practice might help, also allowing her time to settle in when you go somewhere new, letting her people watch and observe before getting involved - things you may already be doing

I mentioned this to my health visitor, and she advised that caution with new people is actually a positive thing in one respect. It means they aren't being overly trusting. I found that reassuring

I have exactly the same with my daughter, she is the funniest biggest personality so sassy she makes me laugh all day long but no one outside of my immediate family gets to see that.... it's so sad and brings me down, but I am aware that she just needs time to adapt to people never force her, just allow her time to suss people out, and feel comfortable with people, my little one has just started nursery and rather than the drop and go I have been doing the extensive leave because she needs me there to reassure her and today she was better, so don't worry nursery will help and if it's a year from now then she will have changed alot by then so don't worry!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
