What helps these breastfeeding cravings? It’s been worse than pregnancy I’m hungry 24/7 and I’m eating for 2 literally lol

This is going to be my issue lol. My husband is going to help keep my on track. I'll be eating enough but it's more the type of foods. I wouldn't stress for the first 6 weeks (or however long until you're OK to exercise), then once you're good to do some exercise including that in a routine of self care will help get things moving

the only thing I can really do rn is walk walk walk but it don’t really seem to work. My husband is in the US rn while I’m in Germany so I’m the only one taking care of the baby as in rn🥰 having less sleep also makes me so hungry 😭

I never lost weight while breastfeeding. My advice would be to not worry about because you’ll drive yourself crazy worrying about your milk supply dipping. Maybe just focus on eating healthy and doing some exercise of you’re able. Until you at least stop breastfeeding.

Your worth is not measured by how much you weight. Just try to take a balanced diet and enjoy the time with baby. Breastfeeding can be romanticized and enjoyed if u let go of other superfluous things. You can get back in shape once u rest, balance diet and set up a routine 10 min workout. Just take care of urself and do not overload. One day at a time.

The breastfeeding hunger is real! Not sure how far out you are, but I will say my appetite did taper off to a more sustainable level around 2.5 months PP (I’m 4 months PP now). While I definitely get hungry, and still consume more calories than I did while pregnant, I’m no longer starving.

You may not want to hear this, but focusing on nourishing yourself is the best approach right now (over weight loss). You need the energy to feed your baby. Concentrate on fueling yourself with healthy foods (good protein, healthy fats, complex carbs) and avoid the processed junk and added sugar. Your body will do what it’s meant to do during this time. I’ve had plenty of friends complain about their weight while breastfeeding, but their go-to foods were oreos or pizza. So while part of this process is physiological/biological and out of our control, there are some things (ie: what we put in our mouths, how we move, etc) we can influence.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
