Keep the doors closed to eliminate draught and we used to take baby straight out and wrap in a towel (extra under their bottom) and cuddle until warm, dry and calm again. Then get dressed. My older 2 were born October and November. X

I turned a heating pad on with a towel over top on my bed and had his lotion clothes and diaper out and I wrapped him in a blanket in just a diaper and did his hair first then kept his upper half covered while I washed his toes legs and privates then covered that and washed his upper half swaddled him in a towel placed him over heating pad to keep warm and put his diaper on and clothes and let him chill on the heating pad for a little to warm him back up (I don’t make it super hot and I don’t place him directly on it I put a towel over but check with my hand to make sure it’s not too hot for baby)

Get everything prepared and ready before you undress them

I always throw a receiving blanket over the parts of his body I'm not actively washing to help keep him warm. You can also throw towels and clothes in the dryer for a minute to warm them up

You can also cut the heat on before the bath and a little after so the home temp is also comfortable when dressing and moisturizing baby , you may get a little hot but baby will be toasty

I used to put a muslin cloth over them while they were in the bath, helped to regulate their temperature and then after I’d cuddle them in a big fluffy towel while they dried x

Get the heating on and leave their towel and pjs on the radiator. Put a muslin or flannel over their belly whilst they’re in the bath or keep pouring water over their bodies whilst they’re in.

Thank you all for the help x
